One-Line Bio

"Thou whoreson zed, thou unnecessary letter!"

Biography

PLACES I'VE LIVED:
Little Rock (1979), where I was born.
Springdale, Arkansas (1980-1997), where I was raised, alongside my three sisters, by a happy-go-lucky trucking executive and a tough-as-nails home-maker; educated at a small, private, utterly cuckoo Christian elementary and high school; and saved by reading lots of books.
Evanston, Illinois (1997-2001), where I attended Northwestern; met my best friend; and came out of the closet.
Chicago (2001-present), where I floundered; got a job in an office; and began contributing bits of theater criticism to the Chicago Reader.
