Only Child Syndrome

On Thursday night, Kito and I dog-sat a friend's English bulldog, and our own dog, Lucy, behaved like a total bitch (pun intended). Despite being less than half the size of our guest, Lucy barked at, bedeviled, and bullied the poor creature until we finally had to separate them, with me and the beleaguered pooch taking refuge in my office while Kito and our 10-lb. monster held dominion over the living room.

You see, this is why people hate only children.
