Steamwerkz: The Musical (The Annoyance). Alice in Wonderland with glory holes. A naive young gay guy encounters strange creatures, unique customs, anonymous barebacking, and peppy musical numbers in a Boystown bathhouse. Delightfully filthy. Through August 31.
Mexican Wrestling Macbeth (The Mammals). A burly luchadora will stop at nothing to play Lady M in a B-movie adaptation of the Scottish play. The show's best gag: all the dialogue is provided by voiceover actors so that the whole thing looks like a poorly dubbed film. Through July 28.
Sketchbook: Reincarnate (Collaboraction). The annual short-play festival got a much-needed makeover this year, allowing for longer, weightier shorts. Honeybuns, a talking mime dressed like lemon custard, steals the show. Through July 15.
Freud's Last Session (The Mercury Theater). Sigmund Freud and CS Lewis debate the existence of God as Hitler invades Poland. Atheist Freud wins handily, solely on the basis of Mike Nussbaum's blistering performance. Through September 2.
